Here at McInnes Drilling, we’ve been involved in exploration drilling in the Goldfields since 1995. We’re experts in first pass exploration drilling as well as earth stakes and environmental drilling. Our owner-operator Bill McInnes has a wealth of international and domestic drilling experience, built up over 40 years of hard work in the industry.
From our depot at Barton Street in Kalgoorlie, we’re ideally placed to provide prompt and effective drilling services all across the Goldfields area. Our team is also prepared to travel state-wide, so please do contact us with your specific requirements.
Highly specialised drilling for first pass geochem exploration
Our state-of-the-art drilling equipment is innovatively mounted on a pair of Toyota Land Cruisers, giving us access to areas that larger rigs would have difficulty reaching. Our methods are low impact and environmentally friendly, and we use the latest GPS to download client data and outcrop descriptions, as well as provide general mapping information.
Our equipment
Auger Drill Rig
- A Land Cruiser-mounted auger drill rig fitted with dump mast, scrub bars, 16 ply conventional tyres, two-way radio, flashing beacon, dash-mounted Garmin GPS, first aid kit and fire extinguishers
- Drilling hole depth: single pass - 3 metres with the mast fully dumped
- The rig is capable of 100+ holes per day, making it ideal for first pass geo-chem exploration drilling work
R.A.B Drill Rig
- A Land Cruiser-mounted rotary air blast drill rig
- On board PTO-driven compressor (180cfm / 150psi)
- Scrub bars, 16 ply conventional tyres, two-way radio, flashing beacon, dash mounted Garmin GPS, first aid kit and fire extinguishers
- Drilling rotary air blast - blade and hammer
- Hole diameter - 75mm / 100mm
- Hole depth - 30 metres maximum - ideal for first pass geo-chem exploration drilling especially in ground that is too hard for auger
- Earth rod drilling, electrical engineering, power lines, etc.
- Environmental drilling
- Prospectors can enhance their leases with expenditure drilling
